Michael Samabaya Upanibesh Samity founded Michaelnagar Shikshaniketan on 4th January, 1966 with an aim of academic development of the students of Michaelnagar and its neighbouring areas. The school was affiliated by the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education upto Junior high level in 1982 and later it was upgraded to High School in 2012 as Bengali Medium Secondary Institution. Govt. of West Bengal introduced English Medium Section from Class-V to X in this school w.e.f. 01.01.2017 and the school has been upgraded from High to Higher Secondary level with General Stream (Science and Arts) from the session 2019. Furthermore, the year 2025 marked the introduction of the Commerce Stream at the school.
